Pastor Training
An article by dan&leslihalvorson
These ten Pastors serve in the Nuba Mountatins of South Sudan. They live under very difficult circumstances as Sudan continues to bomb the Nuba people in South Sudan, despite the war being over. Dan flew them to a safe and beautiful location for training.
The Persecution Project Foundation coordinated the training in order to help equip these precious servants of God. Most of the pastors have little opportunity for formal theological training, so the Persecution Project works to help equip them with training and resources.
The training began with teaching effective ways to share your faith in a one-on-one setting. The instructor from Atlanta taught in English and then it was translated into Arabic for the Nuba Pastors.
The training took place in such a beautiful location!
More of the beautiful landscape there!
This young man fired his very tall bow for me. It was quite impressive how far the arrow flew. I would not want to be one of the four-legged creatures he hunts!
A little Duiker comes regularly to visit the mission compound.
